Yay! Done! More or less!
Finally done with the 'heavy lifting' part of courseware contract. All modules are finished and mostly debugged. What remains is a couple months of less intense debug activity.
This has been hard work. For the last three months I've been working 50 to 60 hours per week. The pay will not be commensurate, to put it mildly; judging by patterns, I'll end up with about 1/3 of what I would have received for 'regular' work at this skill level. And that's only if JPMorgan (LBO owner of publisher) decides to stop stealing. JPMorgan has been stealing about 20% of the last two years. I don't know why they'd stop; they're never going to be punished for any of their crimes.
I'm only complaining about the JPMorgan part. Can't properly complain about the basic conditions. A contract is a contract, and I don't need the money thanks to frugality. But I
do need the work. Daily mental exercise with frequent little triumphs is decidedly good for an old brain. Within limits.
I probably pushed beyond the limits somewhat, but that's OK. Now I can recover.
