Those pistol-packin world-changin mamas
Those baristas at Jitterz Java just might have triggered a major shift in public opinion. After three armed robberies, the owner decided to declare publicly that her coffee kiosk was no longer a gun-free zone. (In fact some of the ladies had already been carrying, but not visibly and not announced.)
The video has spread across the country, and seems to be received positively even in Satan's Homeland on the east coast.
Somewhat puzzling, because east coast civilization-haters are still chanting the same idiot mantra about arming
teachers. It's crazy, intolerable, unacceptable, all options on the table, etc, etc.
I don't know why this small incident has slipped through Satan's radar to find a positive response in normal people, while the vastly larger and more deadly problem in schools still draws Satan's hardest and hottest flak.
Maybe it's lack of preparation by the Commies, or maybe it's the deep resonance of a simple "Mad as hell and not gonna take it any more" moment.
In any case, this has busted a major crack in the ACLU's carefully constructed anti-sanity bunker. Bravo.
Locally a 'gradient effect' is already showing up. Robbers are
shifting their attention from espresso to Subway shops. What's the difference? Subway is a multinational East Coast corporation. It's not as aggressively lefty as some others, but it does follow the
usual orthodoxy. You can be deadly sure ... and Subway employees can be surely dead ... that Subway shops will not become publicly announced self-defenders.
