Wot, no WIND?
Polistra likes to notice dogs that don't bark. Today was a good Basenji in terms of weather. July was totally dry and almost totally warm. We just finished 14 continuous days with highs in the 90s. Actually typical... we got a little spoiled in the previous 3 summers, which were short on 90s.
Finally a little rain today, and blessedly 20 degrees cooler. From 92 to 72.
What's missing? Wind! I can't recall another time when such a sharp drop in temperature came without a BIG windstorm, the kind that starts BIG fires.
