Finally some firmness
The American hierarchy of the Roman church has
finally taken a solid stand on a serious moral issue, declaring that it will disobey Obamacare requirements to provide abortions and contraception.
About fucking time.
In recent years the Roman church has been morally absent. I suppose they were ashamed of the choirboy-diddling mess, or just too busy dealing with lawsuits.
Back in the '70s some Soviet-agent priests and Soviet-agent bulldyke nunpersons went to jail for anti-Vietnam and anti-nuclear protests, but they weren't really acting on behalf of Just-War Doctrine or anything else. They were only obeying their Soviet bosses, and when their Soviet bosses collapsed the idiotic movement collapsed.
And in the 2000s the church disobeyed immigration laws semi-officially, but that wasn't about morality either. It was only about keeping those lucrative Mexican customers in the church.
This official disobedience is thus the first
serious pro-Christian action by the Church in at least a century.
