Polistra has been wondering for several years why the Repooflican Party consists solely of prissy-ass prancing-ass mincing-ass sissy-ass fag-ass bitch-ass fairy-ass amorphodites.

Later: Aside from the weird Repooflican deviance, there's something deeply wrong with 99% of modern mayors and governors. In earlier times, most officials understood the basic rule of bureaucracy: It's easier to get forgiveness than permission. When something needed to be done for their people, they went ahead and did it. This no longer happens... or more precisely, rule-breaking only happens when the goal is to harm the people.
Officials are willing to disobey or circumvent national rules when they need to serve the enemy, but not when they need to protect their own citizens. Example in Spokane: Just after 9/11, the treasonous City Librarian declared openly that she would not follow the Patriot Act, that she would not report any Arab vermin who seemed to be looking for bomb-making instructions. The council and mayor are fine with this. They didn't fire the traitor or defund the library. But when the terrorist organization EPA required the city to spend $200 million on sewage treatment, supposedly to lower the percentage of phosphorus in the river by a small fraction, the council and mayor happily went along with this monstrous shakedown. They happily spent money we don't have, for the sole purpose of consuming our property and weakening our businesses. And the city causes several unnecessary deaths each winter by using ineffective liquid de-icer on the streets, because the genocidal EPA fanatics have declared that salt and sand are Profane Materials.
Hmm. On further thought, the apparent inconsistency yields a deeper consistency. It's not that officials know how to break rules in some cases but don't know how to break rules in other cases. Instead, they are operating under one single high-level rule: Do whatever is necessary to harm our own citizens. If that means circumventing Federal rules, fine; if it means obeying Federal rules, fine.
In short, cities and states are completely aligned with all terroristic demands, whether the terrorists are Allah-worshipping vermin or Gaia-worshipping vermin**. Mayors and governors (with the noble exception of Jan Brewer) are firmly and permanently on the side of the enemy.
