Small victory for common sense #3
The video of a Seattle cop punching a black girl after she pushed him is all over TV today. We know the inevitable and automatic next steps: Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton and the Anti-Civilization Lawyers Union will arrive in Seattle with an army of lawyers. ACLU will sue the cop down to bedrock, followed by a riot, followed by more cops fired and imprisoned for daring to stop the riot. This will follow as naturally as sunset follows sunrise, as naturally as gravi ...
But wait! That isn't the next step! None of those natural and inevitable things happened! Instead, the girl who pushed the cop has APOLOGIZED PERSONALLY TO THE COP!
Genuinely and absolutely unprecedented.
What does this mean? I know for goddamn sure that white people are homicidally tired of the inevitable shit, ferociously tired of Jesse Jackson, ACLU and riots.
Could black people be equally tired of crime, riots and Jesse? Remains to be seen, but this is an interesting and hopeful sign. ¶ 3:47 PM
