Oh, stop.
Local and national newscasters have been repeating this bit of "amazing irony" over and over and over: "What's going on here? We've got all this winter weather happening, and winter won't start until Dec 21! This is weird!"
No, this is stupid. Any normal human understands that the Winter Solstice has very little to do with weather. It's just an astronomical marker. In the northern half of the US, winter runs from mid-November to mid-April. In the south, there simply isn't a season you could properly call winter.
