Int'l Herald Tribune: 8 released now, the remainder (presumably in a different place) to come out shortly.
Moral of the story: Talking with kidnappers works. Sometimes.

We need to learn from Korea and rethink our standard "no-negotiation" policy, which isn't truthful in any case.
The basic question is always means vs ends. Our end is to preserve our own kind (Christians and their allies). The "no-talk" policy often destroys our own without gaining anything meaningful from the enemy. If talking preserves more of our own, it should be at least an openly available option.
