Indeed, the worst crimes of the 20th century were perpetrated by states in the name of “Science,” specifically “scientific” racism and eugenics. These crimes were committed in the U.S. and, even more horribly, in Europe. The views of today’s Hasidim toward government edicts guided by “Science” are strongly colored by the fact that millions of their ancestors were lawfully murdered in Europe by a government guided by that day’s “Science” of eugenics and racism. It is no coincidence that today’s Hasidim will have none of it. Nor should they. Nor should we.Yup. The Hasidim remember Holocaust V1 and don't feel like participating in Holocaust V2. They also remember that the "science" of V1 was explicitly caste-based. The elite KRAUT Jews supported Hitler at first because they hated SLAVIC and RELIGIOUS Jews just as violently as Hitler did. Later the genocide spread to include them, and they didn't get a chance to regret their initial support. We have the same situation now. The elite secular Jews of NYC have been persecuting the Orthodox and Hasidim for quite a while. This isn't new. Secular elites hate Natural Law more than anything, and hate people who resonate with Natural Law. Natural Law tries to constrain and equalize elites. The "science" of V1 was also nakedly partisan. Hitler pretended that he was cleaning out all non-Aryans, a definable genetic category. But several non-Aryan nations that supported him became official and "scientific" Aryans, and his "scientists" had to modify their "science" to include those genes. Sounds familiar, doesn't it? In the "science" of V2, muzzles protect Aryans (defined by partisan label) from Trumptards (defined by partisan label). Nobody believes that muzzles have anything to do with "viruses". Aryans are exempt from muzzles when they're around other Aryans. = = = = = Calibration footnote: The article places eugenics in US and eugenics in Europe on the same level, which isn't accurate. Eugenics has always been popular among academics in US, and it was a fad in the 1920s. Eugenics was never used as the basis for mass slaughter. At most it led to unfair stigma and a few forced sterilizations. If the author is talking about what happened to the old tribes, that was plain old WAR, not eugenics. Before the English arrived, tribes were wiping out other tribes by war. The English had better weapons, so they were able to wipe out their enemy tribes more effectively. Evil for sure, but has nothing to do with eugenics.
