Ancestral maskism
For thousands of years rich fuckheads have been unwilling to share the air with Deplorables. This showed up recently in Gaia, and has resumed its primitive form in the Masked vs Unmasked caste distinction.
Here's a 1910 device aimed at taxis or chauffeured limos. Instead of a speaking tube or a slot in the divider window, the Mascoid issued commands to the Deplorable by imperious one-way electric buzzers and lights.

Fortunately this device didn't achieve popularity. Otherwise the Follow that taxi! scenes in movies would be awfully dull. Bzzzt! Bzzzt! Bzzzt!
