Smart outlaws know how to run a real election with real democracy. When you treat people well, they will return the favor the next time you need a hideout or a witness with amnesia.
Before globalism ruined us, we used to have real democracy in local governments. If you support the party, the party will help you get more cops or more streetlights on your block. Pay for service. Now all favors are centralized and globalized. All voting comes from Soros and Bezos and China, and all favors go to Soros and Bezos and China.
Reiterating the point: Government should be run like a real business, not like a Share Value corporation.
