Thanks and prayer
So far this summer has been remarkably easy. 70s, 80s, only one 90. Enough rain to avoid fires. Definitely welcome after a hard winter.
BUT: The hard winter was also remarkably easy until February decided to
cram an entire winter into two weeks just to prove it could be done.
If the pattern repeats, September could hammer us with two weeks of 130 degrees followed by 130 mph wind, to pay back February's bet.
So Polistra and pals are praising the weather gods for present pleasantry, while placing a precautionary prayer against perseverative patterns.
Please, weather gods! We wouldn't mind a couple weeks of 90s and a couple days of 100s if that's what it takes to avoid the
"Hold my beer" shenanigans.
