Historic first
I know absolutely nothing about betting or sports, and normally pay no attention to those subjects. This year's Kentucky Derby is worth a bit of attention because it shows an UNPRECEDENTED EVENT in modern USA.
A regulator punished a cheater.
This no longer happens in business or government, where the sole job of regulators is to LAVISHLY REWARD THE WORST CHEATERS. The occasional punishments in other sports look more like cheating by the regulators.
In this case the Commission applied proper evidence from lots of high-speed cameras to reach a
QUICK AND SOLID CONCLUSION. No decade-long "investigation" needed. The presumptive winner cut across several lanes of the track just before the finish line, forcing other jockeys and horses to swerve.
