AMLO vs las Repeticiones Aburridas
Reading AMLO's genuinely original and thought-provoking
proverbs focuses my attention on the opposite.
Our "two" political brands have standard infinitely repeated infinitely tiresome "clever sayings".
I've thoroughly debunked the R "clever saying", the Tocqueville largesse 47% shit.
I haven't hit the D "clever saying" hard enough, the "Einstein" insanity shit.
First, it wasn't Einstein. Rita Mae Brown said it.
Second, when normal people do the same thing repeatedly, they aren't expecting a different result. They're expecting the SAME result because the same result is comfortable or pleasant or simply not worth the trouble of changing. When normal people want a different result, they DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT.
Third and most important, when alien political demons do the same thing repeatedly, they aren't GENUINELY expecting a different result. They are obeying one of Parkinson's Laws, pretending to solve a problem by increasing the problem.
Whoops! This year's project hasn't solved the problem yet! We're astonished! Shocked! Unprecedented! Nobody could have expected this! Obviously we need to do MORE of the same thing if we can ever hope to solve the problem! Give us more budget and more workforce and more authority so we can solve the problem next year!
Loop to infinity.

A more relevant saying about expectations skips the whole matter of repetition.
Expecting a PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE result is crazy.
Since 1776 all politicians and "experts" and "scientists" in Sorosia are training us to
work toward PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE goals. If you weren't already crazy, attempting to reach a
PHYSICALLY IMPOSSIBLE goal will drive you crazy.
And now we're back to
AMLO's version of the tiresome Acton shit, aren't we?
Power turns intellectuals into fools, and then the intellectuals drive fools crazy.
