3-wheel CD
Since I'm in random mode today, just recording that I saw an EXTREMELY unusual vehicle this morning.
Today is subjectively the first warm day of the year, even though the temperatures aren't notably higher. Moods were bright and vehicles were cruising.
I saw one of
these in ordinary traffic on NW Blvd. A Polaris Slingshot three-wheeler. Cognitive dissonance all over the place.
Three-wheel motorcycles with 1 in front are fairly common, mainly driven by elderly Harley types who can't balance a two-wheeler any more. With 1 in front, the vehicle is purely perceived as a motorcycle. No dissonance. But with 2 in front, perception goes into a CD flicker. Car/Motorcycle/Car/Motorcycle....
The last time I saw a 2-in-front was around 1960, when Ted Varney's Bookstore in Manhattan used a Messerschmitt as its delivery car.
