New fairness
We could use a new version of the FCC Fairness Doctrine.
Overall rule: In all cases the media response to a
specific action must be constant no matter who takes the action.
For all media except Fox:
You're free to projectile-vomit generic toxic sludge against Trump and against normal Americans and Christians. That stuff is self-regulating. People understand that you are demons who will be locked out of Hell, and they turn you off.
You're NOT free to play partisan games. When you intend to vomit on Trump
for a specific action, you must go through your archives and see how you handled
the same action when Obama did it. If you praised Obama, you must praise Trump. If you ignored Obama, you must ignore Trump. (I don't need to fill in an alternative for 'mocked Obama', because it doesn't exist.)
The rule applies differently to Fox. not exactly a mirror image:
You're free to praise Trump in a generic way. People know what you're doing, and can cheer you or turn you off.
You're NOT free to play partisan games. When you intend to praise Trump
for a specific action, you must go through your archives and see if you mocked the Trump side for that same action
before the election. If you mocked populists before the election, you must continue to mock them after. When you intend to mock Democrats
for a specific action, you must go through your archives and see how you handled
the same action when Bush did it. If you praised Bush you must praise Dems. (I don't need to fill in the second or third alternatives.)
