Berners-Lee, who gets FAKE credit for being "the inventor of the web", is bitching that "his" invention is being misused by governments.
Tell you what, egregious fuckhead. You were working for CERN when you developed this defective HTML shit. You didn't invent anything. CERN, an organization with the EXPLICIT GOAL OF OBLITERATING THE ENTIRE UNIVERSE, turned your crappy bloated inconsistent code into a tool for obliterating civilization.
You knew who you were working for, and you approved of their goals. You didn't quit and blow the whistle.
Now you are NOT ENTITLED TO COMPLAIN when governments use your tool for its INTENDED PURPOSE. This is like Edison complaining that people are reading by his lights, or Bell complaining that people are talking through his phones, or Guk complaining that people are cooking with his fire.
