Isn't that?
News mentions some sort of campaign that connects November with beards or mustaches or something. This vague connection is supposed to "raise awareness of illnesses that lead to premature death."
Isn't that another way of saying "illnesses"?
A cold or two-day flu doesn't really count as an "illness". Anything strong enough to "raise your awareness" as an "illness" is likely to prematurize your death by a measurable amount.
