Skinner works
Observed fireworks this year are down to near zero. I heard one whistler and nothing else. Proof that stiff fines and common sense can make a real difference.
The police reports carried in Spokane-News show that laws are the main factor. There are several reports of brushfires started by fuckheads, but only one of them is in the city. Most are in Airway Heights which stupidly allows fireworks. When you account for the difference in population, that's a dramatic proportion.
I've never understood why some people WANT to blow their eyes and ears out and burn their fingers off. It's a total mystery.
Maybe it makes sense when you consider the absolute lunacy of 1776. Starting a nation with a blatant and genocidal lie is appropriately celebrated by self-mutilation.
