Swift, thou shouldst be living at this hour
Madame Polisztra has been absent for a long time. She returns in a fruitless attempt to ring up the spirit of Swift. At first she thought of calling Mencken, because he did speak directly to our problem; but Mencken was too much like modern "comedians", stoutly defending the Deep State while sounding "rebellious". Mencken would have joined the crowd. Swift would see everything clearly.

Allegedly we want to slow down the force of terrorism. Even idiot Brennan finally admitted that Arabs are mixing in with our importation of Dreamers, though this didn't lead him to propose slowing down the Dreamers or closing the borders. That would be FEEDING THE TROLL. Everything proposed by TROLL becomes impossible. So instead of closing the door to keep the bugs out, we're going to STIR UP THE ANT NEST and direct the ants toward our house.
We had been allowing Putinix to exterminate the terrorists in their nest for a while, but now we're going to fight the exterminator. Can't make it up.

2. Obama: Notion that being armed would have saved Orlando victims 'defies common sense'
Allegedly we want to slow down the current epidemic of mass shootings. Logic and facts tell us that criminals can always find a gun. The specific facts of the latest mass murder show that the killer worked for a "law" enforcement branch of the dysgovernment, a branch that buys guns and ammo by the millions for its own use, which means he would have been able to find or purchase a gun under all conceivable sets of rules. So instead of finding solutions that actually work, we say: Notion that being armed would have saved Orlando victims 'defies common sense'.
Common sense defies common sense.
Previous dictators told lies, used Doublethink, and used the O'Brien quick-change trick, but I can't recall any dictator saying explicitly, all in one neat compact sentence, that facts are not facts and logic is not logic.

Conclusion: (and I do mean Conclusion in the absolute and total sense for the whole fucking world): The only thing we're really trying to do is beat all previous dictators and lunatics to gain the Guinness Record for Maximum Evil and Maximum Insanity. Of course we've already won, but precisely because we're maximally evil and maximally bonkers, we can't stop there and we won't stop there.
