German Foreign Minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier has criticised Nato military exercises in Eastern Europe, accusing the organisation of "warmongering". Mr Steinmeier said that extensive Nato manoeuvres launched this month were counterproductive to regioal security and could enflame tensions with Russia. He urged the Nato military alliance to replace the exercises with more dialogue and co-operation with Russia.Note that this is a CURRENTLY SERVING TOP-LEVEL OFFICIAL, the Foreign Minister. Not a random commentator or a safely retired official or an anonymous leak 'speaking on background'. When USA STRONG gets too crazy for the Krauts, you know things are starting to shift. That's a fucking high bar. Will we change? Of course not. We will continue to get crazier and crazier and crazier and eviler and eviler and eviler until Putin finally bombs DC. Consummation devoutly.
