Hada V8
More idiot speculation.
I halfway wonder if playing with these
'59 vacuum tubes is pulling me back through some kind of time warp. This morning I saw and heard an original '58 Impala starting up in the Safeway parking lot. Nice V8 roar. Then a minute later spotted a 33RPM LP sitting on the street. It was a Columbia record. Couldn't read the title, but it was the sort of label that usually signified 'respectable' 50s music like Henry Mancini.
Later thought: The record wasn't entirely out of place. Hoffman St is a respectable 50s time capsule. Original houses, original owners. Wouldn't be surprising to find Mancini spinning on the Magnavox in the basement Recreation Room.
