You rarely see pure old-fashioned corruption on display in Wash. It's always been wide-open in states like Illinois, Okla and Jersey, but NOT in states like Wash and Kansas.
A decision today by Chief Arsonist Inslee is old-fashioned. CA Inslee normally acts on the basis of universal genocide, seeking to obliterate all life on earth. Today CA Inslee gave genocide a break and decided that the Spokane Tribe SHALL build a new giant casino in the Airway Heights area. He mobilized the Interior Department to issue the contract, but other parts of the Feds are not happy. The specific location will interfere with flight patterns of Fairchild AFB, and may lead to closing down the base. Fairchild is by far the largest single employer in the Spokane metro. Spokane businesses are thus unhappy.
What makes the corruption obvious is that we ALREADY HAVE a huge Injun casino in Airway Heights. Northern Quest, operated by the Colville Tribe. There's no way to claim that Spokane is "under-served" in the casino department.
CA Inslee is rewarding one tribe to punish another tribe, and to damage the Air Force and the city. Raw old-fashioned Mafia corruption.
