Obama the protectionist /// EDIT: Even better!
Credit where credit is due! Obama's admin stiffened tax rules, making a tax-dodge merger between Viagra and Botox unprofitable. [Wouldn't the merger be self-canceling anyway?]
This means that by Repoof standards Obama is now a Protectionist. He violated the INALIENABLE RIGHT of tax evasion, in order to protect American revenue and American jobs.
But this is okay because Obama is not Trump. Everything Obama does is okay by definition. Everything Trump does is XENOPHOBIC BUFFOON BIGOT HATE KKK by definition.
The Populists of 1900 understood that protecting American jobs wasn't solely a question of trade. Mergers destroy jobs on the same scale as outsourcing. LBO-style mergers are the worst of all. Anti-trust laws, now extinct, arose from this understanding.

Update, even better: Obama's admin is REANIMATING the zombie anti-trust laws. Used them explicitly to refuse a merger between major oil service companies. BRAVO!
Still puzzled by Obama's massive shift after 2012. The lame-duck years always give presidents room to change, but most don't take the opportunity. After 6 years of pure Sharpton and pure Netanyahu and pure Goldman, 6 years of killing cops and bombing every country but Israel and enriching the rich, Obama switched abruptly. FBI head Comey has turned away from Sharpton toward truth, Kerry is allowing Putin to stop Hillary's wars, and AG Lynch is starting to punish the rich for their infinite crimes. I'm tempted to see this as a move to co-opt the Sanders threat, but that won't work. The change started BEFORE Sanders and Trump began campaigning.
