Common sense in an uncommon place
Here's a columnist who gets it. Anthony Zurcher, amazingly writing for the BBC website. I clicked in, expecting to get a nice 100-point jump in my blood pressure (Unfortunately clickbait works, even when you know goddamn well how it works!) but instead found pure common sense.
Zurcher treats both Trump and Sanders as indications that the one-party Establishment has shot its wad. Even more amazingly he gives full credit to UNPERSONPat BuchananUNPERSON for prophetically defining the problem 20 years ago. At that time the Establishment could still overrule the masses with no visible pushback. Now at least the pushback is visible, thanks to the web and formalized crowdfunding. Will it make any difference? I doubt it.
