Balance
Obama has 'normalized' with two old enemies at once: Cuba and Persia.
The usual neocon types in "both" "parties" are ferociously pushing back against the Persia move, but seem to be neutral on the Cuban move.
They should be more positive on Cuba, because these two 'normalizations' are nicely balanced. Makes me wonder if Obama's strategists had this balance in mind. Hard to tell; his admin is simply too incompetent and accidental to guess at motives.
Neocons hate Persia solely because Our Most Noble And Radiant Prophet Binyamin Netanyahu [pbuh] has based his filthy sadistic political career on scapegoating Persia for his own manifold sins. There's no logic involved.
If they were thinking logically, Neocons should be strongly welcoming the return to Cuba. Before Castro, Cuba was owned by US gangsters,
especially the Jewish ones.
At that time Jewish gangsters operated in the same way as Italian gangsters. Now most of the Jewish gangsters have shifted their operations to a vastly larger field where they can counterfeit quadrillions instead of mere billions.
One major exception is Sheldon Adelson, who continues to run part of Vegas and all of the Repooflican "Party" in old-fashioned gangster style. His biggest operation is Macao, an obvious parallel to the Havana operations. Now that Chinese anti-corruption laws are driving business away from Macao, returning to Havana should look attractive to Adelson.
