Diluted food ---> Dilated eater?
Hypothesis after noticing yet one more product containing 80% of previous amount for the same price.
Inflation by reduction.
Is this a major cause of the recent epidemic of obesity?
You get accustomed to cooking up one can and filling your belly with 10 ounces of Yummy Stuff. Your belly develops a template.
Suddenly you're only getting 8 ounces of Yummy Stuff! Negative delta! Unsatisfying! Still hungry!
What do you do? You don't open a second can and use 2 ounces from the second can to restore the template value of 10 ounces. You open and eat
all of two cans. Now you're getting 16 ounces instead of 10.
