NBC News’s chief medical correspondent and editor, Dr. Nancy Snyderman Thursday resigned ... six months after the public outrage that greeted her violating her quarantine order ... Snyderman on her return from Africa was asked to observe a voluntary 21-day quarantine at her New Jersey home, but after being caught buying takeout food outside her home, the state converted her voluntary quarantine to a mandatory quarantine inside her home. And as can be expected, NBC News was besieged with floods of comments and condemnation over Synderman’s violation of her quarantine order.Snyderman is not only a satanic murderous arrogant aggressive bully, she's plain old dumb about medical matters. The former is, of course, expected; the latter is not. Basic rule of logic: You should only judge other people's knowledge in areas you're deeply familiar with. After you observe ignorance in those specific areas, you're entitled to assume broad ignorance. I didn't have any reason to doubt Snyderman's medical knowledge until she ventured into a question of hearing. When Rush suddenly turned deaf, Snyderman declared as fact that it was a noise-related loss, common among radio announcers who always wear earphones to monitor output and receive orders from producers. Nope. Hearing loss from chronic noise exposure happens chronically. It's insidious. Sudden and permanent hearing loss is caused either by a stroke-like event or by drugs. In Rush's case it turned out to be oxycodone. Good riddance to Snyderman.
