Still not convinced
Nearly all of the riots and revolutions in the last 20 years have been run by the US government directly or indirectly. The fingerprints of groups like NudelmanPyatt Chaos Partners LLC are perfectly clear, and the benefit to Israel or Goldman is perfectly clear.
One currently running revolution doesn't fit the pattern. Hong Kong is too far from Israel to be worth the trouble of chaosing, and Hong Kong is already a finance-based economy. Both Morgan and Goldman have major offices in HK and play a large role in its functions.
In earlier times HK was a strong manufacturing center and thus a threat to Goldman, but that was at least 30 years ago.
ZeroHedge is quoting an article in Peking's main newspaper that tries to accuse USA of fomenting the protests. Not convincing. The neocon Nat'l Endowment for Democracy apparently advocated HK riots, but there's no indication of actual training or funding for the rioters. All the other revolutions involved heavy training and support. NED's effort looks more like routine bureaucratic credit-grabbing.
