Guaranteed non-barking dog
Celebrity deaths often inspire "movements" to rid the world of the condition that killed the celebrity. Though the "movements" are obnoxious, I can't argue with the concept. It does mobilize non-governmental money toward
real medical research.
Now the annoying commie actress Joan Rivers has died of an unquestionable medical error. Medical errors are the
largest avoidable death cause in America. Statistics are highly variable, but errors kill something like 200,000 per year. That's four times as many as auto accidents, and about equal to smoking.
Will this lead to a "movement" complete with its own color of ribbon and its own version of Viral Challenges?
Nope. I can guarantee there won't be a "movement". I'll bet any amount of money. Nobody in power wants to solve this giant problem.
