Calif drought NCDC
I've done this recently with Okla, but not with Calif. Monthly precip figures for all of Calif from NCDC. It's informative to see the months in one picture.
The pattern is distinct on a seasonal basis, but there's no single yearly trend. Oct, Nov, Dec, Jan are drier than last year, other months are wetter than last year. Only Oct shows a downward trend for the last few years. No month is in record territory. From this pattern it's hard to see a record-breaking drought for the year. It's impossible to declare, as Moonbeam Brown just did, that things are inevitably getting worse and worse and worse and worse because KKKarbon.
