Gap

Leads to a thought: After you're publicly known as a hopeless drunk who smokes crack in drunken stupors and engages in illegal and dangerous sex, what jobs are you qualified for?
Armed robber.
Unskilled day labor (eg Sweeping up dog poop in parking lots.)
Whore.
Mayor.
Congressman.
Senator.
President.
Hmm. Seems to be a gap in the middle of the list, somewhere between Whore and Mayor.
Later thought: No, it's even worse. Mayor, Congressman and Senator are jobs you can get and keep while actually serving time in prison. It's happened many times. You can't be a robber, laborer or whore while actually serving time in prison.
