Gee thanks.
Spokane finally got hot, after four months of wet and cold.
Heat isn't unusual ... we always get about 3 weeks of 90s and 3 days of 100s. What is unusual this year is the
source of the heat.
Typically it's desert air from Arizona and Calif. This year it's icky sticky Missouri air.
With the usual desert version, early morning is deliciously cool (daily low is 55) and I can leave the A/C off from
Old People's Wakeup at 3 AM until noon. With this year's icky sticky Missouri version, there's no cool time at all. The low point at dawn is 70, with 80% humidity. No use opening the windows or enjoying** a walk. Just leave the A/C on all the time and stay in.
Thanks but no thanks, St Louis. You can keep it.
= = = = =
** I still
make the daily walk... now that I've got the habit established, I literally can't stand to skip a day. But I don't
enjoy it in this swamp air.
