The Gaian Occupation Government on America is rolling out a new version of its post-1989 Gestapo tactics.

Part of this plan is to spot heretics early, as Gestapo and KGB and Stasi have always done.

"We had a long conversation about what kinds of things education can do," said Quintan Wiktorowicz, a senior director of the National Security Council at the White House, who spearheaded the initiative. "In the same way they fight gangs, or bullying, they can help here. The challenge is going to be trying to put the violent extremism initiatives into existing programs. But there are lots of ways to do it, and we'll work with the schools to tailor the approach to what they need."

Okay then.

Do you really want to slow down radicalization in high school?

Here's the answer.

In four short words:

Make girls date nerds.

In longer words: Try to distribute respect and status more equally. Pull some of it away from athletes and cheerleaders, and give some to smart quiet kids.

Give less status to kids who follow the fashionable -isms (i.e. environmentalism, homosexualism, feminism, superficial leftism, and multicuturalism.) Give more status to kids who need and enjoy orderliness and tradition. Especially to those kids whose tradition is religious, whether Evangelical, Catholic, orthodox Jewish or Muslim.

Needless to say, this ain't gonna happen. Educrats are physically and mentally incapable of doing anything positive or good. Educrats always always always always always choose the most destructive and anti-human path available, and if such a path is not yet available they'll blaze one. In this case, we can be certain how educrats would respond to the solution: They would give vastly more status to jocks and the fashionable -isms, and would push the traditional kids further underground, further into isolation and revenge.

Think about it. When you have a significant cohort of young males who are smart, technically competent, disciplined, faithful and hopeless, you're training effective terrorists. When such boys come to the precisely accurate and precisely objective conclusion that both the official education system and the natural adolescent status system are unbreakably stacked against them, you're training effective terrorists.

And that's exactly what the American school system is officially designed to do, by all of its explicitly stated goals. At every step it's perfectly and obviously biased against intelligence, against religion, against males, against non-athletes, against heterosexuals, against common sense, against tradition. Religious types with an engineering mind are not wanted here and they know it forcefully.
