Happy SS day to me.
62 today. SS is now available, and I took all the proper steps to sign up several months ago. Gives a sense of security, but no money yet; and that's exactly as it should be. SS shouldn't be paying people who don't need it.
My royalty income this year was well over the threshold ... in fact over the national median individual income! This year I'm not Independently Poor but more like Independently Working-Class. But the royalties vary widely, and the publisher seems to be struggling, so I'm sure SS will get at least one chance to make up the difference before it starts properly and fully at 65.
I had thought the 62 start was somewhat unusual, and the Satanist-Leninist Poison Vendors try to give us that notion. Like everything else they tell us, that's a lie. In fact, according to SS website, 75% of the people who turn 62 this year are starting immediately. Message is clear: we're all tired of playing a rigged game. Tired of pulling the banksters uphill so they can ski down over our beaten and pulped bodies. We just want to get something back before it all collapses in a giant heap of putrid ratshit. ¶ 3:43 AM
