1776 Nonsense
US and Canada form a neat 'separated twins' experiment. Both started with the same resources, same people, same culture. US rebelled against England, Canada didn't.
Can we tell the difference caused by the 1776 rebellion? No.
Canada has more freedom in some ways, US has more freedom in some ways. Both countries have prospered greatly, both have fought the same wars in different degrees.
Right now Canada is in better economic shape because it didn't deregulate banks and speculators in 1999. Overall, it's a wash. ¶ 8:19 AM
