Not so complicated after all!
From a news story this morning:
“Economic opportunity, especially job creation, is a critical part of reintegrating the foot-soldier into normal life,” Gen. Stanley McChrystal, the U.S. commander in Afghanistan, wrote in an assessment of the deteriorating war delivered to Obama last month.
Oh good. Maybe this will finally get the Feds to start working on economic development and job creation.
What? What's that you say? McChrystal isn't talking about
our soldiers returning home to a country that has no jobs for them? He's talking about
Afghan soldiers and the
Afghan economy?
Well, I guess that does explain the whole mess. Our government is dyslexic. The words "America" and "Afghanistan" are sort of similar, and our government is protecting and advancing the interests of "Afghanistan" instead of "America". All we need to do is inform them of this fact, and they will straighten up and fly right.
