Powerless
Bad storms the last few days; most of them skirted Spokane, but we got hit straight on last night. Knocked out the power to this part of town. First real outage since a 4-day icestorm in '96. I learned from that one, and keep candles, propane stove, and canned food on hand. So this 16-hour darkness didn't cause any basic problems, but it was still scary, especially when added to the overall apocalyptic feeling.
Israel knows how to take care of itself. Do we?
