Optimistic Annie, part II
Needless to say, nobody is as dumb as Annie. Even liberals, with all their stupid assumptions about gun control, understand that criminals can acquire weapons by stealing or buying; you don't need to wait for them to build their own Smith and Wesson Company and design their own bullets.
So: Why is everybody, both conservative and liberal, waiting for Persia to develop its own nuclear weapons? Even if we grant the other nonsensical assumption that UN resolutions make any difference, why bother to make resolutions asking Tehran to stop its development process? Why don't we start with the perfectly obvious fact that Tehran can easily buy anything it wants from North Korea, China, and Russia?
Answer: Because starting from that obvious fact leads to the conclusion that we must destroy Iran. And we aren't willing to do the only thing that will actually save us from total destruction.
In this context we are just as dumb as poor Annie, but Tehran won't be as sensible as the gangster in this cartoon. ¶ 9:08 AM
