Are we really awake yet?

Sounds sensible and normal. But is it true? Consider that Portland's authorities have been, shall we say, 'neutral' in this war, in the same way that Switzerland was 'neutral' in WW2. Consider that al-Qaeda likes significant dates. Consider that, according to
Steve Emerson, the London bombing coincided with the start of the trial of Abu Hamza al-Masri, who led the cell near Portland that was rolled up a couple years ago.
So in fact, out of all the cities in the US, Portland has a unique connection to this particular attack. A little more citizen awareness of this fact might be a good idea.
